LUMINA: Peer-to-Peer Renewable Micro-Grid

Project Overview

LUMINA is an intelligent energy marketplace concept designed to allow neighborhoods to generate, store, and trade renewable energy with each other by bypassing fragile, centralized power grids. This project was a capstone brief set by Bimbo Oni Studio under the industry theme of Climate Tech & Regenerative Infrastructure. The brief asked for a six-scene illustration system and supporting spot illustrations that communicate both the environmental tension of extreme weather and the warmth and safety of a decentralized, community-driven energy network. The deliverable was not a UI design project. It was a visual storytelling project, one that needed to make a viewer feel the problem before they understood the solution.
